The Battle Called Football Battle lines keep forming cries cried aloud Mindless crowds swarming everyone so proud Lined up in a line bulky armor being worn Captains giving the sign the battle was suddenly born Clashes of the plate bashing of the bone Fights written in slate this battle has really grown Run as fast as you can Do not stop at all Don't eye a fan And never drop the ball! Poetry is love and love is life. |

Hehe, this made me chuckle, Krystopher. Enjoyed the read! I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man. |

How could I not vote on this? It hits chords in me that resonate like autumn saturday afternoons. Will they ever get here? |

The title caught my eye, and I thought I'd take a look at it to see why guys love the game so much. Then I realised you were probably talking about American football, and it wasn't what I had in mind, which is strictly speaking, called soccer. But this is definitely a good read. Though, I still don't quite understand. Why is it called football when you're allowed to use your hands to carry the ball. Unlike soccer, where aside from goalkeeper, no other players are allowed to use their hands. So, to be more accurate, shouldn't soccer be referred to as football, and not football? I'm getting a bit confused myself. _,,,^.^,,,_ |
