I am now saturated with it all,
the hate, the march,
  the death upon,
is only slightly worse
than this carrying on.

The constant loud of war
banging incessant on the door,
drowned out by the fingers
the peace sign that lingers,
the fallen are all but forgotten.

I'm sorry, something is rotten.

I hear questions of this
questions of that,
where in this war
      is your pretty head at
while still, the heroes
       they fall,
minus the wailing wall.

Who can hear over the sound?

Marching civilians
      now lay on the ground,
pretense of death
       yet still they have breath,
while the dead simply have none.

To all of it I've become numb,
unable to feel,
        to discern what is real
ashamed more than not,
by the whole blasted lot.

While the heroes, dear God,
         still fall.
