Take me up in your protection
Underneath your loving arms
Hide me from imperfections
Lead me away from harm.

Mommy it’s been years,
And I don’t want to feel afraid anymore...
Too many tears
Since you ran out into that open door.

I’m not sure which of us has chosen
The path of real security,
But my compass has been broken
Since you gave that glance to me.

Let me close my eyes,
And cry into your shoulder...
Can’t you teach me to be wise?
Because I think
I’m getting older.

This is one of the most emotionally charged writes I've seen on here in a while. Outstanding job. Instead of telling us... tell her.

Goodness Alyssa....
I feel the hurt in this one.
God bless you. And if it's not about
you personally, God bless all the other
children who feel this way, too.

littlewing,
so sorry you can relate! But I suppose on certain levels of it, everyone can. Thanks for replying

Ringo,
thanks I do tend to reak the norm in everything I do. Don't believe I'll be telling her anytime soon.. lol I haven't even seen her since we had Christmas.

Thanks again, to you both.
Always, Alyssa

Ethel,
I seem to normally write about myself, not an exception here. Like you I just write what I'm feeling.. but I have no perception of its quality. But I'm really not down now, just feeling vulnerable. Thanks much and God bless you too.

WhiteRose,
now now, its ok, don't cry Glad I got the feelings through enough to be 'felt.' Thank you very much.

take care you two

Sey sir,
thank you for the 'well done' I'm honored

kaile,
I know about that uncomfortable place you don't want to go in.. problem is I'm there, thats why I feel so vulnerable but I guess that means I got my feelings through thank you.

Stand firm!
Always, Alyssa

Alyssa,

What can I say? How pleased I am to see your ability to write out your feelings in great poetic form. This is very touching.

It is odd, and a pity  how some children need to be the parent and the parent the child.

Heart hugs and keep writing for you have captured others feelings as well.

Pat,
thank you and yes you're right, it is a pity.. but I suppose every boundary will be tested and some broken.. and that leads to finding new ways to make it through the race. As I can see, I'm certainly not the first one to make up the steps as I take them. Besides, we can never be convicted unless we're a bit vulnerab;e again thanks, hugs and love..
