Curvaceous it spilled
lightly on the wool
could see its design:
spiralling for the ground

the intense burning stare
that should melt with one sigh
as it dipped and it dripped
a pinprick on the skin

the hours could drown by
till the smell of decadence shied
empty glasses lipsticked with-held
the hangovered spirit of a flame

"more than yesterday, less than tomorrow, i love you"

Claire - Welcome to PIP!  I love this - so haunting and longing:

empty glasses lipsticked with-held
the hangovered spirit of a flame

Nice entrance - you will love it here xxoo

Claire, this is just lovely. I don't recall reading it before, but you know me, slipping into senility and all, I could have forgotten

It's a lovely write dear friend, and it certainly gets my vote.
