Inside the shadow's shadow

Batting eyelashes bat not
To be flirty and to swoon...
These old eyelashes bat
To call upon the moon.

Blinding sunlight streams
Through my dusty, limping curtains...
Let the Sun nestle in his nest
Then I'm sure to sleep for certain!

Oh, please let these blue, bloodshot eyes
Close down once again
And I'll kiss the warm, enticing dark
And float to Dream Trail Glen

Yes! The Sun is setting!
Do you see?!
Counting down to Dream Trail Glen...
1...2...Zzz

KoKo, this was a delightful read. It brought a smile, and a twinkle to these old eyes of mine.
