The Silent Pen A poet pen lays silent now, its words forever rest It left a poet’s heart as its most radiant bequest A cherished wealth of verses has been imbedded there Indelibly inscribed the poems to which the world is heir No greater gift is given than the contents of a heart That still remains among these pages never more to part I will forever hold the love that in this place was scrolled I honor words that humbly left a mark upon my soul Liz |
