the ass-end of space

0 posted 2003-03-24 05:15 PM

Squinting into the light
the wind upon my face
I laughed today
at nothing in particular
at all
the utter absurdity
of this
whatever this is
the sun has come
too early for me
I'm not ready just yet
this tired song still plays
in my head and
I've failed to see
where needle skips
So I'll submerge,
to find my selves
And sigh I know
I'll hear the cry
of angel relentless
for she sees not
the piles of canary bone
and rusted cage
from all who've tried before

At times the sun is blinding, but you saw yourself mirrored and couldn't believe it!
Beautiful!

Raph, this is beautiful to me. I read it,
then read it again, then read it again......
each time getting something from it that I
didn't get before. I love it when you write
about the Angels.

That's all I'm going to say now, because I
don't want to reveal too much of what is
coming through your writings. Do you realize
yourself, dear friend?

Thank you, Ralphy, for sharing the feelings
of your heart with us.

Heart Hugs,
Ethel

Chilling and impression-leaving.  Quite the emotive imagery and idea.

she offered you yellow feathers,
her gift of song, not wanted to stay,
preferring the ravens colors,
she just became a shadow,
sent to fly away............

Wow...
