Flame held in a jarred candle
begging for a glance
a second chance
children dancing to the beat
at my feet
Bells ringing - can you hear them?

tap tap tinkling morse code . . . eyes darting to and fro

Souls wafting
into the deep dark night
legends rising with the smoke
burning flesh it seems . . . it seems . . .
meeting the midnight moon

hush . . . hush . . .this is between you and I - eyes darting from earth to sky

Children jarred
candle dancing
silver shining
bells romancing

tap tap tinkling morse code
in seductive rhyme

IT IS TIME

This reminds me of a show I watched on gypsy rights of passage, maybe not what you meant, but it jumped into my mind.At a very young age some gypsies have a tradition of seductive dancing for the younger girls, as a way of signing of marriages for early teens.Prob not what you meant.

Sue, as I read, I could see the
children dancing around the fire...
and hear the "tap tap tinkling", too.

A very good write, friend.

My aunt said I was born with a gypsy soul.
Not sure if my dancing was ever really seductive, but I've sure moved around a lot, and I sure enjoyed this write.
Now, where in the heck did I stash my tambourine and veil?
