One So Perfect
~ By Sue ~

I was a child when I learned, the hope she gave was not true
To this day she does the same, she takes it all away from you

No one is as good as she, others have too many flaws
Always there to point them out, of her own she never recalls

On this earth there is no one, as perfect as she thinks she is
It is because of someone else, she has the problems that she has

When it came to her kids, they never could be too sure
That she would really be there, her words were never that pure

If she could not control you, you could be sure of one thing
She would always be there, with more troubles to you to bring

To think that one is so perfect, is a matter of such false pride
When I am there with her, my feelings I always do hide

She never lets you forget, the mistakes that you have made
To her it does not seem to matter, the prices you have paid

There is no use in having hope, she always tears it down
Her anger is clear to see, if you do not go around

Sue, I understand  completely!!!
Only it's my Dad, instead of my Mom. She
kind of keeps him under control about his
judgements...or at least about him telling
them to me. She tells him that he's going
to make me quit going there so often, then
he apologizes....but the hurtful words and
accusations have already been said.

My late husband was a lot like that, too.
I used to tell him that I wish I was as
perfect as he  thought he was.

Good luck, friend.....

Heart Hugs,
Ethel

It seems sometimes those that believe
they are perfect, can only be so by
undermining others...

A good write, Sue...venting is good,
and you did this very well, and actually
with some quiet respect...knowing that you
cannot change "her"...with some quiet
acceptance of what you cannot change...

Brava...

like I have told you before...let her know that you are grown and don't need to be made aware of past mistakes, and that NO one including her, is perfect.

Otherwise this will continue to haunt you.

(big hugggssssss) It saddens me to see people like that, I know when I'm right and I only speak the truth and I am also aware I am not perfect and can admit my faults. I think of my dad always thinking he is ALWAYS right and sometimes that deeply discourages me when I know that isn't true, he has a high intelligence and understands many people but I have seen him wrong before so he too is wrong sometimes! (sigh) This is wonderfully said, dearest friend, I send many angel hugs your way, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

From reading the replies that you have thus far received, it appears that you have struck a strident chord in many of your readers! You reached out and touched the hearts of others by sharing your story.

Warm, loving hugs,

Sounds sadly familiar to me too ... (not my Mom though, she actually WAS perfect to me, but not in HER  eyes).
Thank you.
