Tired Eyes and a Restless Mind

I grieve my losses with "tired eyes
and a restless mind" wanders thoughts
through the night.
Lost in the darkness, deliverance in shades
of the grays and the hollowness
seeming my plight.
My heart is stained, deprived of delight
marked by the un-ness
of words never there.
Nested alone, withdrawn to maneuver
control of the changes
that restless will bare.

Tired, the eyes that can pierce through the truth
that can wrap it in cellophane,
sandwiched between.
Stripped of the colors that polish
this shell, of the outer of inside,
these layers unseen.
Where does one go when they travel the darkness,
blinded but seeing
through feelings barraged.
Distortions in shadows that twist upon movement
in tall tales I live life,
mine, just a mirage.

Once again, a masterpiece that gives the mind something to reflect. Loved this one.

There is a certain nothingness to depression that is difficult to portray--

you've got it all down here.

The very weariness of self.

How 'bout I just leave ya with a hug?

'cause you know, that I KNOW...
