Spring

I live in a land where you grow fine webbed feet
The natives are born that way feeling they’re neat
October to May when the clouds have no end
It gets kinda somber; you go ‘round the bend

The rain drips on down from a heavenly spout
The folks hide at home and won’t even come out
But solstice has passed and the days you find lighten
Wherever you go, you see moods start to brighten

The buds of the crocus bespeak a new year
And daffodils follow; with each eager spear
The tulips announce with a gaudiness sassy
That glorious spring brings its act so classy.

A sunbreak came through with its dappling sheen.
One night as I strolled out to savor the scene
Of Japanese maples with blossoms so pink
There’s nothing like rebirth of nature I think

Magnolia flowers are hung out in bloom
I wish I could bring them all home to my room
Aromas of winter grass cut while there’s time
While kids roll their skateboards and turn on a dime

There’s something ‘bout Spring that I simply can’t tell
But only convey like I’m under a spell
The great book of time is now turning a page
I’m happy to be here; I would pay any wage

This cycle of time gives me wisdom with luck
I know that someday ‘twill be me God will pluck
But that will be fine; with my harp I will sing
Of beautiful, wondrous and glorious Spring

Love this spring song Ken!
It's finally here and I'm smiling!
There certainly is something about it..
sort of like a spell we are consummed by.
And I have a Magnolia which I can't wait to see blossom.

(does happy dance) Yay!!! My favorite time of year commences today! (smiles) It will be a bt longer until we get the tulips dancing ballet and crocuses muttering with the wind because we just got the worst blizzard in Denver history since 1913, but I just love the feeling the seaosn begins today! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ken, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

A spell-binding, "wondrous and glorious" new page in the "great book of time"!

To "inked" and E, you pleasure me
Without you "Angels" where'd I be
Your words so kind ring subtlely
I keep faith in my writing, see?

Much thanks to all.  Ken

The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Not quite sure why, KayJay, our guy...
but this one line smiles, makes me sigh...
I want to let loose the chains of work...
to act foolish, perhaps a little berserk...

Thank you kayjay...
