Dearest darling as I write to you
upon the heather kissed by dew
I dream again of your sweet face
another time, another place

Will you return soon to my side?
after fighting for our nation’s pride
Know this, my love, for this I yearn
to hold you dear when you return

I pray to remain strong and true
and keep my faith, alone for you.

Poet - what a lovely testament - I think in this turmoil everyone seems to forget those that are left at home and the fear of those going away and leaving their families - very nice - excellent xxoo

Nice job on remembering the hardest jobs in the military... that of the military wife.
I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Very beautiful write, Sharon.
I know there are many who are feeling
this tonight. One of them is my next
door neighbors daughter. She and her
husband's boys are staying with her parents
until her husband gets back from Iraq. He
was just a few tents down from where the
man threw the hand grenade into the tent the
other day.
Heart hugs,
Ethel

Sharon~

awww I cried at this, I have two friends over there, and its so hard for me to enjoy life, and freedom right now....I worry as we all might do, and I know others have the same.....I feel so selfish just saying softly, pls bring them home safely.....life means so much more right now....and how we sometimes tend to forget what life means....

thank you for this....

sincerely

Lauren~

I close my eyes and there in the shadows I see your light
You come to me out of my dreams
Across the night

I wonder how many times through the ages such letters have been written, such hearts have worried and yearned. *S* This is beautiful, PDV.
