maple leaf rag
a remnant
of who he had been
the bravery in his steps
the courage in his eyes
now a memory
caught in the folds
of his uniform’s remains

I'm there, VAS...
I took my Dad's uniform out of the chest to show them to my daughter and talk about him, and this describes that time we spent so perfectly.
