Colors
flow and filter
upon white, unread books
of weathered waste and winter sky.

Authorship unknown.
But -- we hope -- well-read.

Within snowy, rose-paled pages,
frozen rain covers trees.
Wind awaits leaves.
Colors.

Hi Mike, I really enjoyed this piece. Very nicely done.

So tell me, are you like eating that poor guys brains or what?

I doubt it have you read His autobiography? Very repetitive and contradictory. Sorry couldn't resist. Great words as usual

(big hugggsssssss) Oh my gosh, we got 36 inches of snow here in Denver within the past day and a half, the biggest storm in years! (smiles) How I long to see the buds start bursting on these trees, yay, this is wonderful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Michael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I enjoyed very much, but too, am confused by the picture.  Are you about to say "Alas poor Yorick, I knew him, Horatio".  Thanks for the write.  Ken J

lol Ken - perfect

I had such a diff view on this - but then again - that px makes me laugh sooo . . .

the light falling through your window on unread books of your own inviting you to spring
or/and
the sad display of unread authors - though inviting and magical inside - many books left on shelves just waiting to be explored

excellent xxoo

Mike, I like the way you halved the
rictameter up. I'm just learning this form,
but that was an interesting twist.

Hey, tell 'em about the picture...LOL

Thanks all for reading. No deep thoughts meant here, just some images of winter. I love your interpretation though, littlewing.

And as for the picture? Yum, brains.

Winter into Spring ... It's coming,
and not a moment too soon for some
of us who have seen alot of snow,
and what's left of it is black
and dirty. Give me green!

Now that is too cool!
Excellent write, bsquirrel.

I too love the snowy white...rose-paled pages...and as for the picture, then

is that "food for thought?"

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Thank you all. I'm glad you find something good in my poems. As for the picture, it's just me being stupid and silly.
