We've all heard of Pandora's Box,
One which ne'er should have been unlocked
But because to her it was so inticing
Yet,she proceeded to do not the nice thing!
And opening it she cause such pollution,
Introducing Misery's Diffusion!

That story ougth a lesson to be,
Weigh your action so carefully--
Consider all the consequences,
Before breaking down another's fences
For they might have served him to restrain,
But opening it up--they an entrance may gain!

What seems needed, a brief affair,
Can open terror up like never before!
No easy answers are to be found,
Yet some may cause grave ills to abound.
Tho you thing Noble, your desires,
Could they not unleash endless fires?

Dear President, please reconsider,
Yes, this terrorist thing is bitter
But it's Pandora's new Box you grasp,
Turn back, we implore--unloose not that clasp!

Leave that bedeviling box alone,
Return our dear Servicemen to their homes
Sacrifice them not in your ploy,
That a war's trophy you may enjoy
Your father's war is but History,
Perpetuate not it's misery!
You know not what you may enlist,
By opening this box with your clenched fist!

This is no Greek Mythology,
But is REAL as real can be
Our very future is at stake,
Your bulldog ways cause allies to forsake
More and more the world's ire you incure,
Until friends are enemies, and we are unsecure!

Pandora's Box is now in your hand,
Dare you open it and fore'er curse our land?
See now, what others can see so plain,
For all our sakes, step away from this shame!
You name in the Hist'ry books surely will be found,
Will you be the one, who brought us down?
Instead of bringing you accalaim,
If you open it, sir--then accept the blame
If all does not go according to plan,
You more than any will have cursed this great land!

I understand your worries and your poem reveals them perfectly. May there be no Chaos!
Everything would be so easy if wisdom and love would rule the world.

Gosh almighty, yes. The proverbial Pandora's Box!--and I do believe you are on the money with this one---not only as it may prove to be true historically, but poetically as well!

Peace & Light,
Earth Angel
