It doesn't hurt much, really. The sun is black fire. The tide in my blood. Blood cauterized by the blast of black fire. It doesn't hurt much, really. The city can be rebuilt. The streets can be repaved. The cars can be removed from the rubble of the city. We can raise our arms, as the skies burn, as the ground crumbles to the finest of bone-dust and silt. We can raise our arms and pray that these idealogical constructs, that brought machines to feast on our young, will stay here long enough to clear away the black sunspots, so that we may burn all the more cleanly. I've seen this happen |

I enjoyed your words my friend. I am new to this site, this being my 2nd official response. I plan to take the advice of Ron and will read and respond a while before posting poetry of my own. It sounds like a message of being "remade" through the process of destruction. An interesting and paradoxical premise. I also believe that prayer never hurts. |
