I am lost for words
What should I say
A dear poet friend
Had passed away

Words we shared
The past few years
In sorrow I write
Wiping away tears

The gates opening
A dear poet flies
Upon angel wings
On heavenly skies

A friend departed
I’m here weeping
She dwells above
Peacefully sleeping

I’ll miss you friend
Sad you are gone
It is not goodbye
Words will live on
