Listening to every heart

An Irish Pantoum

My eyes of green wear me today
In the springing of my Irish heart
The winds blew away the clouds of gray
Hearing promise of a new love’s start

In the springing of my Irish heart
I am again a young colleen
Hearing promise of a new love’s start
I’m led back to love’s sweet dream

I am again a young colleen
For by your touch of giving all
I’m led back to love’s sweet dream
To see you stand again, so tall

For by your touch of giving all
That my heart would plead you stay
To see you stand again, so tall
My eyes of green wear me today.

(big hugggsssssss) And each new day may you always feel like a young Irish girl at heart, a colleen gathering flowers and hopping on the emerald meadow! (smiles) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, just wanted to stop in and wish you a very special St. Patricks Day weekend, top O' the morning to ya, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Karilea, this was delightful and I love the following line:

My eyes of green wear me today.

Everyone's Irish on St. Patty's Day especially if one lives in Boston!

Yes, a young colleen...I especially love how the final stanza came out!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Lovely as the colleen that penned it!
I am half Irish and half Scottish, but today I'm all Irish!

Happy St. Paddy's Day hugs to you!

"I am again a young colleen"  The lure of being young again is so integral to us, isn't it.
This is a lovely write.  KJ

The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light
