Blood
spreading
slowly
crisp cool clean
blue water
tainted

My ship is sinking
and I am the Captain

I gaze into the last sunset
I will ever lay eyes upon
and smile . . .

For I can see the shore
I only need to swim

certainly full of imagery...all I can think to say is bon voyage.

Live like it's your last day...
Dance like nobody's watching...
Love like you've never been hurt...

Sometimes I think if we look at the shore too long, we might not even attempt the swim.

sigh...when will I ever learn to quit treading water?

Heart hugs Sue...

(have you submitted something for the book yet? If not...why not? hmmm? tapping toe here...)

Sue, I love your poetry, this one is no exception.

Oh, and I like your smile in your photo, too....

I was wondering the same thing Karen was about the book.

(me going to look for your submission)

Heart Hugs,
Ethel
