Love eats you alive There's no chance to survive As it tears into pieces a heart that was whole It burns like a fire Starting out as desire Eating slowly and steadily into your soul... In silence it goes It's too late when it shows If you feel your heart aching, the damage is done Innocent at the start Tearing your world apart And you're left with the cold empty shell you've become... Love eats every course Never showing remorse On the menu, destruction, for that which you strive When the feast is complete You will stand to your feet A much wiser appetizer, knowing how it will feel When your heart is a meal, and Love Eats You alive... |
