Words From Within

You don't have to do anything
in your mind to write.
Those that are overly conscious of
their writing hold an unsteady pen.
The pen knows where to go.
Where thoughts and desires
and feelings grow.
And in those moments when
you are not consciously mindful
the words from within will flow.

(sigh) I agree, poetry should be all about freedom, mental and emotional freedom, and if one keeps stressing "Come on, come on, give me a thought!" it just doesn't work that way, you have to be the wave, the wind, become the soaring bird. (big hugggssssss) This is so well expressed, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet James, thank you for sharing!
