~ Lucky Day ~ He knew this day would come eventually. Waited so long for these next few seconds. Holding his breath, thinking of what it will be like. Prepared the best he could, he knew he can handle it. He hopes he plays it cool, trying not to act like a fool. Years of anticipation , in this moment he will feel so free. Memories of the past flash through his mind. Followed by memories that are soon to be. Like a child with a piece of candy. He stands with an eyes wide open stare. Everything he wants is right in front of him. But just out of his reach reality comes to be. Everything crumbles to pieces at his feet. As she turns the corner with someone on her arm. Not noticing him as she passes him by. His heart sinks, returning to its rightful place. He gains his composure and heads on home. Suprisingly unswayed, he continues on with his day. For he knows that tommarow is another day. And just maybe, maybe tommarow will be the lucky day. The day she passes him in the halls and notices him, standing their, with an eyes wide open stare. A dream is but a dream, you can wake up. Reality is ultimate, and those who share it with us are far more important than anything we could remember, |
