Words Were My Bond

The hand of friendship
Was shared with me
By someone special
Far across the sea

We have not touched
Yet still we both knew
On strong foundation
Our friendship grew

Reached with hearts
As friends to the end
On written pathways
Loving words blend

Endearing affections
That went far beyond
With friendship glue
A love lasting bond

We can only visulise
In a meaningful way
Importance of those
Soulmates far away

Thank you Inkgoddess , yes I guess many with friends far away can relate ..... yes I sent him the poem but most of my poems are inspired by him
