The Way of the Wind Symbols ride the wind like birds. Shaped in heart and mind by words. Distilled by earth and brine of sea. And subtlety of times that be. Formed by nature and by deed. Adapted to the human need. Sown into the soul of man Until there goals a subtler plan. They form a chain that links in facts. In symbols of the new found acts. It coats the sand into a pearl And makes new luster to unfurl. Then warn around the neck of pride To steer the human in abide. And stays until it loses rhyme And then becomes another time. So spread your wings and be a bird. And write upon the wind your word. |

Symbols ride the wind like birds. Shaped in heart and mind by words. ==================================== So spread your wings and be a bird. And write upon the wind your word. ============================ Thine rhymes are the wind whispers that brush my cheek ... it will ever be your breezes that this moth seeks. For each morn you write your name 'cross my sky ... winds of change that turn this moth into a butterfly. *winkiewinkie* |

Seymour, if only the birds of the air could talk...no telling what they would tell about, is it? BTW, I'm late getting here this morning, too. I'm glad that I found you.... Hugs, Ethel |

Sy, Birds or butterflies, your poetry always makes me 'high'.... I like these lines especially: "It coats the sand into a pearl and makes new luster to unfurl." Love the whole poem, as usual. Thank you, Hugs, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |
