How many times I wept I cried. I sang the tune but faked the ride. The past is gone, the future fried, and no one cares that Lennon died. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

His life on earth was too short...what a pity to lose a creative genius like that...nice little tribute |

The impending war probably has him turning over in his grave and singing~ ~Give Peace a Chance~ (already) This was a nice stirring of his memory~ |

Martin and Blues: Thanks, guys. I know it's so short I probably shouldn't have posted it. But I think I'm mourning more the loss of caring than the loss of John. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

nooo, glad you posted it. i smile at the thought of how he'd be finding a unique way of doing his bit for peace at the moment, if only he were here. smiling in memory of him. learning each day, for you and i, our paths have met, i've already learnt that you are love. |

Im getting so tired of crying in all the poems I read . lol. But with this one, it just was too good to stop reading. Keep up the good work. Read ^ there, because you are reading the wrong part! |

I get the message loud and clear, Nan. I wrote one long ago about a man lying on the highway from an auto accident with the passersby honking in anger at the delay...same premise. You done real well with this one |

Was thinking just the other day how Paul was the better looking, better musician and best businessman of all the beatles yet John was the one with the most to say and the guts to do it.I enjoyed and agree. Live like it's your last day... |

The poem was too short (because I'd have liked to have read more!) and so was his life. Warm hugs, Earth Angel |

gemjop, of course he would. And we'd all smile and do whatever we were going to do anyway, as always. And though he really cared, I think he also understood. Connel, oh, sorry. I'll do a funny one next, promise. I knew you'd understand, Balladeer. Thanks. bbent, of course I love Paul, how could I not? Just look at him. Sigh. Thanks, EarthAngel. He did more in his short life than most of us get done in 80 years. KristieSue, thank you so much for your kind words. Thanks, passing shadows. littlewing, I hope he would have liked it. Of course, he'd have done it a lot better and it would have had a back beat. Enchantress, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
