Although told to forget I can't put this in the past My eyes are real, the tears are pure Rain droplets of life you'd call them They splash the ground with falling hope Painting a story of misery and broken amends Forgotten bonds, Lost trust Dependency on people fading into past I look out the window to view oppurtunity Then to see it shun by clouding fire Burning to dismiss any fortune Inside any bearing I held begins to melt away I can't seem to find my place Or walk the ground I belong It's times like these I can't accept Perhaps I wasn't meant to be Maybe I live the shadow of another A half of a whole |

Don't live the shadow of another. Be you. Because you're worthy and exciting on your own. I like the way you use words. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
