Ok, I want to create my own graphics library and I need some info on how to do it. I know how to create a page but how do I give each graphic it's on link? Every time I have tried it gives me an html link instead of a gif or jpg link. Does this matter and if so how do i fix it? These are just a few of the graphics i have gotten permission to pilpher [This message has been edited by Jeffrey Carter (edited 02-15-2001).] |

Actually Jeffrey, to link to a graphic you don't have to have a "page." Technically, when you upload a graphic, or for that matter anything, to a web server, it get's it's own, unique address. So for example, if you upload a file called "graphic.jpg" to your webserver, in the folder "images" the address will be be: http://yourserver.com/images/graphic.jpg And that's all there is to it. C |

As long as you have different names for each graphic on the page, you can do the above "link" that Chris showed only replacing the "graphic.gif" with whatever name of graphic you want to use. Like as you make graphic1.jpg or smiley2.jpg etc... |
