/pip/html.htm /pip/ubbcode.htm ================= this is a couple links Ron gives to help... The pic must be uploaded on the net somewhere so that it has "properties" that can be linked to in order for the HTML tags and codes to work... You cant just post a pic of yours thats in your computer..it must be uploaded to a web page or site that allows linking.. Or if you use a pic from a site like webshots or posters.com etc..then you will need to choose your pic and get the properties by right clicking your mouse on the pic and a window should pop up offering you a view of the properties..when you click on it another window will open and on it will be the pics address or URL..it should look like this.. http://images.webshots.com/ProThumbs/41/34241_wallpaper280.jpg cut and copy the pics URL...put it on the posting screen here in pips with the code and the pic should show... You can look on any poets post that has a pic and see how they did it by clicking on their edit screen and looking for the pic code...there are a couple codes and tags that work, so you may see more than one example but its always easier to understand when you see it.... your posting code should look like this: < img src="http://images.webshots.com/ProThumbs/41/34241_wallpaper280.jpg" > Or [ IMG ]http://images.webshots.com/ProThumbs/41/34241_wallpaper280.jpg[ /IMG ] BUT close the spaces I put in between brackets and carrots... I had to make the space so the code would show instead of the pic... This was the way I was taught...it seems hard but once you do it...its less confusing.. my directions may be the hardest part LOL Hope this helps. A little bird just reminded me to tell you that when posting pics...remember to make sure its one that the owner or site has granted public use of it and that there arent any copyright issues. Most sites have it well posted. We dont want Ron getting in trouble now do we. I hope my directions werent too confusing... Im left handed LOL Most people have more problems finding the properties and doing cut and paste than they do posting. Its always easier if somone can show you in person. My daughter taught me how, or I would still be lost on this thing. [This message has been edited by Janet Marie (06-19-2003 03:08 PM).] |

Pasted this code into the open forum and failed, despite getting the picture icon up, to get the graphics to show... Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? P.s. Gap after first brackets intentional or the code won't show... |

Sullivan - The html code you've entered yields an error page when pasted into my address bar as a URL. That might be your problem. |

Guys, thanks for the input - Turns out that my compressed graphic mean carrying the whole page across... Not to worry - I shall add a page for just graphics that is not on the index - all is not lost. But thanks again for the input - sorry to be a menace.
