Do have the latest ULead yet, Sharon? 5.0, I think? I saw it on the shelf while I was Christmas shopping, but was so rushed (of course) I figured I'd pick it up when the people weren't stacked one on top the other. Haven't seen it since, naturally. |

Nine times out of ten, I use Corel PhotoPaint. .05 of the remainder goes to Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and the other .05 goes to Ulead. Then there's the 3d applications... won't go into that tho. |

I have a free BMP modifier, and Ifran Viewer. That's gotta be the sweetest free program out there. It can also convert files into a variety of formats. Although I can't do the cool stuff I could do with Photoshop, I still make good use of the BMP modifier, Paintbrush, and Ifran. If anyone knows of any other free graphics utilities that can add interesting effects to images, I'd be interesting in hearing about them tho. |

I use Corel Draw 10 for vector images, Corel Paint for all types of bitmap fine-tuning, Fireworks for vector to bitmap conversion and file size reduction. I find that like web page building there isn’t one piece of software that does it all and tend to hop between each, importing and exporting until I end up with what I need. |

Doreen - my xp with Director is that it's relatively easy (especially if you're familiar with things like GoLive and Flash). What's a bit more challenging is working with the lingo. |

Ok......I seem to use things that no one has ever heard of, but they work, and usually I start out with a free demo downloaded from ZDNet Download page. For a basic paint program I purchased Ultimate Paintm after I used the freebie for months. I added Adobe PlugIn effects, and Ulead effects. It's a nice little package. For animations, I use Gif Movie Gear.....another free demo, then you can purchase the whole thing. And I found a free thumbnailer, which I use in conjunction with Irfanview, and a free tiling program. Now I want to get the pen and pad set, so I won't have to draw with my mouse anymore!!! Oh......I've done my web pages with a freebie, which I purchased as an update later, by the name of CoolPage 2.6. It works great, too, after you learn about text and placement!! That's it!! ~~~ enjoy yourself ~~~ it's later than you think! |

ULead PhotoImpact - and I do have the new version... It's even better than the older one - That's what I'm accustomed to, so I have no dissenting opinion... |

Hi everyone I am computer illiterate. How do you bring up photos and how do you bring up the icons like the smilies etc. I sometimes write my poetry in Passions and see most people are able to do this. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. Isobel |

I started out with JASC PSP 8. Now that Corel has took over Jasc, I have Corel PSP X and I LOVE it. Can do all kinds of things with it with the tubes and Plug-ins. Can use the Plug-ins that Photo Shop makes, too. I think I have become a PSP addict. LOL |

PhotoShop and Illustrator, but only because of an advertising background. Now when it comes to video graphics, that's a whole 'nother realm. Final Cut Pro, all the way. |
