 I want to be asleep, but i'm not.  I lay there, think of something, get up, write it down, lay back down, think of something else, get up, switch the computer on, come here, mooch around, turn the comp off, get into bed, think, nearly drop off, then think of something else that just HAS to be written down, and so on.... I know it's tough when you lose your muse, but will somebody shut mine up? Instant karma's gonna get you. |

Gemma, keep paper and pen by the bed, then you might not have to get up so often.  Now myself...(when I'm by myself)....I tend to fall asleep on the couch watching movies on Lifetime...wake up, and sit at the computer again....come here and then it's too late to go to bed. I used to keep pen and paper by the bed, but I found that I'd spend a half hour in the morning decoding my scribbled nonsense lol If I didnt wish to do that, Id have to lean over and turn on the light, which would wake me up further grrrr... So now, Ive invested in a small voice recorder, the size of a credit card, and I sleep with it under my pillow. No more lying in bed for 5 mins thinking to myself, thats good, I really gotta get up and write that down or Ill forget it by morning, I just hit record, babbly away, and fall asleep again. Once though, I forget to turn off record... and listened to 40 mins of my sleep talking the next morning.. was rather...err.. entertaining to say the least  |

Gemma- Here's hoping you actually did sleep when you said you were tired. Fighting with your Muse can be a real hassle. We are all equal but we’re individually different |

insomnia is hell. I havnt been able to sleep without drugs since I was maybe 12. not that I mind the drugs. legal ones...seriously, my legal drugs, no seriously. lol. i havnt slept in abotu three days now, ive been telling everyoen that if im acting weird, it sthe fish i had fo rlunch. if I had the cash I'd just buy myself soem whiskey and be done with it, which is what I reccomend by the qwya for nay of you none sleepers, whiskey... Whiskey makes me gag unfortunately. last nite, i had a replay of the night when i posted this...it's all your lots fault bringing this thread back up! thanks for some good advice though, i'd like a dictaphone thingy Last night i wrote 4 A4 pages before i could sleep. front and back. |

Here are some ingredients: Try some warm milk and sweet choclates, a hot bath, light music, a massage, warmth and flower fragrances, mingle them together to conjure and allure Sleep.
