ARRGGGG!!! did my pc frighten me this morning

Hi there, almost got me a heartattack this morning.
What happened???

Well, yesterdayevening I did write a 13 page letter to my sheepmembers to give them all the new rules etc. At last I had to put in something from the government I picked off the internet. I have to put that on disk cause my own pc doesn't have internet and while copying it upstairs my Word went bazurk, error error have to close down. I did save in between but not all the time so when I opened Word again I had lost 6 pages so it seemed.

Tried to restore them, but it didn't work. So I went to bed with quite a bad feeling. Overslept myself (woke up at 10 am) called my boss that I was taken the morning off and back to the computer.
And when I opened Word???? There it was again all of it, so I was very happy.

I needed some lines from another document and when I opened that???? All my directions (or what do you call them) were gone, just plain text in Times New Roman. So I opened more docs and they were all the same. All my sheepforms gone, my poetry: just plain text and no pics anymore. Thought I had lost everything I ever wrote.

Well my Hubby's hair went straight up cause of my yelling.

It took me two hours to discover what caused it.
When you open a file in Word down under you can choose the documenttype. Yesterday I had to choose 'restore text from any doc' when trying to restore that particular document and I didn't change it back to 'Worddocument'. I did now and everything was right again.

Ha Ha Ha, but this was a very happy girl who went to work this afternoon.
