Thank you, Mr. Obama... I know all political ads are geographically and culturally centered for the most sensationalistic and polarizing awareness. I really do. So I really appreciate that you have chosen to run one showing President-to-be Mitt singing America the Beautiful. Because you see, Mr. Obama, here in the middle of the country, a whole great lot of us believe in Prayer. And so, when your self-approved ad comes on, I just close my eyes in prayer, and LISTEN to the words Mitt sings. I could be Lady Justice for goodness sake, blind to what I might see, but very aware of what I hear. So I cannot [nor will not] read the silent letters flashing across the screen, but just listen to what I believe in to be the truth - that America will survive...you. And all the cronies you rode in on. Sincerely, A VOTER (c) KRJ 7-18-12 |

I guess I would have to watch TV to see the political ads. I stopped watching about 3 1/2 years ago since he seemed to have taken over the airwaves. I do pray this nightmare is over soon. |

Maureen, thank you. Denise, I thought of you specifically when I wrote this, because I so despise mud slinging. And as I was pulling off the sheets from my bed this morning before putting on my makeup before making my lunch before going to work to a job that it took me over two years to find [being of age, and all] when this ad came on - and not for the first time - I simply closed my eyes and heard the answer. Truly. I thought of you today again when I posted this same message, and a subsequent addition, on Facebook. I don't know if this old lady's thoughts/reactions to such an ad might do any good, but at least I didn't remain silent. Maureen, Denise...thank you for reading! Always K |

That ad just doesn't make much sense. I can easily ignore the printed words. I can't sing and it seems Mitt is not a whole lot better. But I admire him for having the guts to at tackle that beautiful song. I suspect Barry would prefer something less American. |

That was one of the aspects that I admired, Pete - I cannot sing either, but appreciate Mitt's doing his best! Thanks for reading. |

I've got a US quarter that says Mr. Obama knows the words to "L'Internationale" and has sung them more than once. |

Every time I hear a politician sing it reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJG75FJkjr8 . |

It's quite telling when the mud-slinger is covered up to his eyeballs in the muck with which he attempts to soil someone else. When someone doesn't have a record of success on which to stand, what else is a politician to do? |
