a good, thoughtful forum is HARD to find.
The one you listed on UK Oil blogs has some pretty intelligent comments on it.

It is a good site, thanks Grinch. A lot of information for those like me who don’t know nearly as much as we should.

Anyway, since random seems to be the operative word here tonight -

Was driving back from the beach late last fall, and noticed for the first time a wind power generator being put up near a local business. Nodded and said that’s the ticket. Shortly after that I watched one explode on a YouTube video. Not quite as comfy with the whole idea now.

The Asimov article I posted the link to was written in 1977, a couple of years before President Carter installed solar panels on the White House. Reagan had them taken off and would you believe, some of those very same panels are still heating water at a college not too far from where I live.
