The Raping and Plundering of America I was contemplating why the Major Investment Corporations were paying their CEO's huge Golden Parachute Bonuses while seemingly leading the Corporation into financial disasters, including bankruptcy, and at the same time asking for a 700 Billion Dollar Government Rescue, and it has become clear to me that FAILURE is the objective of some of these Major Corporations, so they can in turn file for BANKRUPTCY and perhaps REINCORPORATE later, free of the burdens of their HUGE DEBTS and free of their obligation and responsibilities of providing retirement and medical benefits to their former employees. These CEO"s are raping and plundering America no differently than an invasion of foreign mercenaries. JamesLee 28September 2008 |

I don't always agree with you, James but on this I totally agree and respect your ability to see the situation as it is. Ida |

Ditto to what Ida said, James. Not sure this is the best forum for discussion, but I think you are right. A |

You are so right James and well said. I had this happen to me years ago. So unfair. I lost my money, the company simply shed its guilt and took a new name. Joyce |

Nice poem, Great rhythm and meter. Beautiful sentiments. Love the line "free of the burdens of their HUGE DEBTS" Moving to say the least. The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked. |

Just the opposite of what the average Mr. John Doe has done to them, as well, when they buy to the hilt on credit and then simply walk away from their responsibility of debt. I hate to say it, but for quite a number of people, they seem to have lost their sense of responsibility, integrity, and knowing when to do without. What's the answer, James? |

. http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NDI1MzA0ZDBjODUyYTE5NTBiOWI0OGM0YTM5NWQxMmY= . And don't forget the CRA and similar bills which basically gave as a legal right the opportunity to extort even "ninja" loans from the financial institutions. . |
