"The Conservative movement that overtook the Republican Party with the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980 walked straight out of Galt's Gulch."

I think that Truman is better.

I think you mean "was better." The dude is dead... for quite some time now.

And didn't he say after the atom bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, that "this is the greatest thing in history" (or something like that, I'm bad with quotes.) Well, that's not a cool thing to say about people getting bombed the hell out of their country.

“Well all the apostles, they’re sittin’ on the swings, sayin’ I’d sell off my savior for a set of new rings.”

was or is?

Was that in his time that many did not like him?

Truman was better than Reagan, in my opinion.
(does not sound right)

Thank you Edward Grim. have a wonderful night!!!

Drauntz? Since you said you haven't read the book either, why don't you join me in reading the book before we fuss with the thread?

The good people there who have read it seem to be enjoying it well enough, skirmish or no.

Yes?

Nod.

I think it's a good idea.

You have a lovely day too.

My dear SB, laugh me if you may.

I briefly read "angels and Demons". it really made me physically sick...not because the religion thing. The scene was too much for a image. So the "The Da Vinci Code'" went directly into trash bin and gone.

I know that the book will make me uncomfortable, so i will not read it.

Today, I talked with a 22 years old student who loves philosophy. I mentioned PIP and the discussion on Rand. She, ha ha ha ha "is that the lady who got everything from Russia and did not even bother to change a little?"

I know you enjoyed it as a good literature. i believe that she was a good writer. but her 'philosophy " to me is trash and I shall keep a distance from her.

my thought.

have a lovely evening
have a good night
and have a good sleep tonight
because I will not bother your thread
