There is some hope Brad, apparently some archaeologist has discovered a stone covered in strange symbols which , I’m led to believe, may help in deciphering some of the harder to read text. If this turns out to be a false rumor we can always resort to more modern tablets. |

I personally like the Forest Green color with Arial font and my purty little dragon... Actually, I started a thread in the Bugs forum way back last November, stating the intention to remove some of the less sightly fonts and colors: /pip/Forum17/HTML/000047.html Unfortunately, I didn't get a lot of response on what should go and what should remain - and like too many things on my "to do list," this one fell by the wayside. As someone else noted, the Impact font is pretty bad, and I personally detest both of the script fonts. The only color I find totally unacceptable is white. Does anyone have any suggestions for fonts we might add (that are a bit easier to read)? |

Lucida in 12 point makes it easier to read, more like a person's normal handwriting. Perhaps it is not the actual font, but size that needs to be attended to. Some of the colors would, of course, show up differently against another colored background. Is that a possibility, Ron? I personally like Lucida Calligraphy. It is much easier to read than Lucida Handwriting and lends a 'formal' feel to the page, I think, without compromising 'readability'. I have trouble reading only the green font. It shows up as a flourescent shade that I can't read at all. The only poems in Open that I don't read are ones done in this green shade and long poems in Lucinda Handwriting...the short ones I can get through without getting a headache. I really like the unicorn font that is in my wordpad. I can't even read anything done in the white or the green colors. White just seems to blend into the background and the green is flourescent and doesn't show up very well against the background. I do like the comic sans font though as well as the arial as they are fairly easy to read even with failing eyesight. Lucida is pretty if the size is big enough. I'm not sure how common of a font this is, but Tempus Sans ITC is a pretty cool font. And I agree with Ron, those script fonts are very annoying if arranged in anything bigger than a couple lines... In flames I shall not be consumed, but reborn. -- Abrahm Simons |

And I simply love this - use it for most of my poems...I'm not too familiar with particular fonts to be honest, but I do think that an italic font that is slightly more intelligible than script is a good idea.
