Firstly, I thought I'd give credit where it is due...the idea of sending each new member a special welcome email was a good! It's a good way of encouraging and welcoming new poets. (I even gave poor Denise a guilt trip and got one of my very own after four months..tee hee)

Secondly, I'd like to make a suggestion-up for comment- maybe we can add a little tip at the bottom, letting our new poets know a secret we all share here...You get more responses when you're not SOOO excited that you post everything that you've ever written all at once!!

This is in no way directed to our friends and fellow poets that get a writing spell and just let it all out at once!!! I'm guilty of that m'self sometimes too!! I just think that our new members are thinking that it's the way to get more response, when in truth, I get a little discouraged when I log on and see 5-10 posts from a new member.  I usually reply to one...maybe two...but leave the rest for another time. If anyone has other ideas on this please let me know. Much love and thanks for listening to me babble on and on at 4:00 in the morning!!!

Hi Devina! First, just let me say, you gave me no guilt trip...really! I just saw your little comment posted and figured, hey, why not?! As for the 'tip' in the greeting... (?)....I believe that is listed in the guidelines as a suggestion...everyone learns in time anyway though.....just my thoughts! I really liked Ron's comments yesterday in another thread where he said something to the effect that he wouldn't ask the publishing world to slow down to accomodate his reading pace...made much sense to me!! So from now on if I can't read 'em all, I won't stress about it!!! I'll just try to enjoy that "plethora of choices" ....enjoy the advantages it brings and deal with the disadvantages!! I'm glad you enjoyed the E-Card!! They are great aren't they?!

Whose winnings are less than his worth;
For he who is honest is noble,
Whatever his fortunes or birth.~~~Alice Cary, ~Nobility~

devina, first I want to thank you for your past readings of some of my posts in the last few days.

Next, I want to say "Welcome" to Passions.  Glad to see a "newbie!"

Cheers,
