in daybreak on the moss-- silver lines in serpentine suspended swirl of salad-toss. in spastic bones of point-- up, then down, from sky to ground-- lean arms of priest attempt annoint. I feel a pirate's glee. A winter's tomb becoming new, a sapling, boasting, it's a tree. brown feathered leaves in yearn of earth-- it's time to reach for sky again, a cold heart quickening--rebirth. |

I hear the cypress summoning, I feel a pirate's glee. A winter's tomb becoming new, a sapling, boasting, it's a tree. You know, I read all your posts, though I only respond to a few. I played Buffet on the jukebox tonight, so I love the pirate line. And for reasons I can't quite explain...I sure relate to that sapling. And it's been way too long since I've seen, let alone swung, on a cypress. [This message has been edited by Duncan (02-27-2002 02:24 AM).] |

This is so eloquent. Intelligent writing indeed. Thank you! "No matter how great you are, you'll never be greater than yourself." |

A winter's tomb becoming new, a sapling, boasting, it's a tree. ======================================= do you know how cool this poem is... your imagery alone and the inspire found in that tree in your back yard makes this, but then add the metaphors you've laced within the imagery and the twist you put on the usually cliche' thoughts of the "coming of spring" and again I say...yer so cool. ever--clever...are you!! Wasn't sure where this was leading at first, K, but I must say you wrapped it up very well. How's everything going in N.O. anyway? Michael |

Peaches, thank you for being so sweet! Duncan, my good buddy, I seem to keep missing you these days. Hugs and thank you for reading. OH...and I know, I owe Tracey an e mail. I've been more crazed than usual lately...sigh Midnight, I thank you for "intelligence" as I'm feeling kind of stupid today, for reasons I won't bore you with, but thanks. Ron thank you. A thousand hugs! Jan...still giggling at the ridiculous e mail I sent. I typed that one so fast I don't even know what I said to you...laughing now. Thanks for reading...lu Marge--I think of you often when I look out at Cypress Park. and you know what? I don't think they are gonna make me move... ! The boyfriend only thinks he knows how stubborn I can be. I will be like Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies...tied on top of the vehicle...chuckling... Mike--It's good to see you, and things in New Orleans are pretty damned cold. Normally I wouldn't mind as winter lasts about two days here, but I think I caught this head cold that seems to be running around passions...sigh... Thanks all for reading, I think I'm going back to bed. |
