Among A Star

Put on mirrors edge of self,
a distant ride to trim the air,
to sharpen mind, give way to fresh
to reach a threshhold, advantage share.

Felt among a star in point
generating artistic flow.
An energy influenced by
the five performers, mass in tow.

Her twinkling points reached out to me,
through ranks of age, the hours past.
Had given freely to a rise
awakening new thoughts in cast.

She owes so much to her, this one
named Alice, as she frames in clear
the words of heart that pierce in warmth,
providing hope beyond a tear.

Back on road towards darkness driven,
cheating sadness once again,
among the stars that rise on high
she shapes my thoughts of now and then.

again nicely done... last two verses indeed sum up nicely the whole...but all that leads up to it sets the stage. much to ponder between the lines.... I enjoy

Pegged all wrong? hmmm... an image comes to mind..of joinery done badly... pegs used to hold together not being adequate for their intended purpose. Perhaps you have pegged the point....

as for thinking... it hurts... and besides, I'm not at all smart enough to really think.

Alice, never goes alone
She's mirrored many on her own.
"C's" thoughts are sacred, I think much
until he presses buttons touch.
And then for all his sweet, we see
stories told delightfully.

Between Layers

Almost touching you, I am
between the layers of clear.
The shine of once upon a time
is discarded among silver stars
floating in the shadow
on this moonlit night.

Summer's warmth, once holding
all promise of you, tempers the air
with your memory. Tears falling
like stardust, glisten my pillow
as I soak in the thoughts of you.

And between the night's layers,
in dream upon dream, I am shadowed
until morning comes.
Until I gaze into the mirror
to see only the clear once again.
