Listening to every heart

Ascent/Descent

In darkest sky, so low in east
sun breaks night to thus greet
winter’s day, now not so bleak
thy sun glints gold, new day to seek

In blue of heaven, sun casts glow
spring begins that all should grow
so gentle as a new babe’s sigh
loveliest ascension through her sky

Comes summer day, sun crowns
by casting rainbows all around
emerald lush in carpets green
vibrant rays, sweet earth’s scene

slowly makes way t’ward the west
over all sun concedes her best
she does not fall, but in slow descends
casting promises yet again

to rest now in gifts of sigh
sun’s descent quits us from high
quiet slinks in cool of night
tomorrow’s ascent, a promised light

Well...you took the words right out of my mouth to describe this beautiful piece

"to rest now in gifts of sigh"

Live today like it was your last day on earth!

How beautiful!  This is a keeper

Take care,
