If I were a card… They tell me Write for Hallmark Because now and then A heart is touched, A will, waived, A turning occurs… A smile curves satin With some looking within Knowing Hallmark Will never hallmark my Name, No fame there… For, if I were To carve a card’s Sentient sentiment And hold in it A whisper Warm arms Sighs and heartstrings I could not afford The postage. |

Dear Lady: Loved the poem, and the ending hit me hard..Hallmark cards don't do that. |

(smiles) Hallmark cards are gorgeous, but there's one thing that they miss and it is the love and sincerity you show in your words! (kiss on cheek) This is a gorgeous greeting of affection from the heart, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sahring! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

"You should write for Hallmark? Isn't that an insult?" You should have a line of cards your own and I don't think I could afford them. Live today like it was your last day on earth! |

For you to write for Hallmark would be absurd So much heart you include in every word Your work needs savoring, appreciation Not a hurried purchase for some special occasion The buyer almost forgot... On the other hand, can you imagine the scene Someone scurries into the store... they simply mean To pick out the first semi-appropriate card But they read a few lines and it's suddenly hard To remember the outside world... Hours later, they're still standing there Oblivious to the ones who have stared... The manager says softly "We're closing now" An entire evening has passed and they don't know how They just know they've discovered perfection. From the moment I read your title, I thought "She's got too much class for Hallmark." Then my mind ran away with what if's.... sorry 'bout that. *G* Excellent work, Lady! |

Lady In White, This bump is worth at least a dime, Because I took the time to make it rhyme. But it didn't come from the hallmark store, For then I would truly be dirt poor. *BUMP* [This message has been edited by Larry C (03-06-2002 02:59 AM).] |

Ah Lady this is soooo pretty! But, I must tell you... I looked at the title and when I saw, "If I were a card", well all I could think of was 'the Queen of Hearts'. That's the card I see you as! Beautiful words here....love it! ~Hugs, Nancy~ ~Sometimes all you really wish for... |
