A letter finally came:

Eyes falling hard on tear smeared words,

Love died that day on a piece of paper,

Well at least half of what I knew,

Did,

She said goodbye with black ink swirling,

Letters formed crashing images in my mind,

They used to embrace me,

Yet now pierce this trembling heart,

Cold crossed t's and periods so final,

Where did the warmth go?,

Turned off with the flick of a finger,

Can emotion expire in one lick of an envelope,

Desire sealed out forever from its folds,

Years passing away without brief eulogy,

Kept alive only in wistful longing thoughts,

Once breathing dreams suffocate in vacuum of pain,

Still thinking was it all worth it?,

You bet it was.

*sigh* shoot...I keep trying to reply to this and can't seem to get the words right...I wonder often about love that is offered...sometimes it is offered for so long and rejected so much that it just curls into itself believe there will never be love...was it worth it...oh yes...to feel those feelings that burn with heat and passion....BRAVO!!! This is a masterpiece that will go right into my library....**big hugs**

(big huggsssssss) So very sad but touching, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you but I too believe deep down that it is better to have love and lost than to have never loved at all, and I know while you always hold onto these memories, you will loove again always! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is excellent! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!
