How can you silence a conscience full of regrets?
For in my dreams would I have ever imagined
shattering my heart for you.  It surely is strange
how you managed to captivate me and drove me
to sheer idleness for I can do nothing but sit and
look at the past and how blissful you made me.
How happy I was just having you in my life.
How I felt so in love or so blinded by you that
I sincerely thought that you felt the same.
For when we spoke we connected
we were joined in words we were one in thought.
Even though I never believed in soul mates
you managed to make a believer of me..
Why? Why? Couldn’t I have been right.
Why didn’t you prove me right?
Instead you turned your back on me
you completely turned yourself into a stranger
and turned me into one as well.
Why did u do this to me?
Why did u speak to me if you never even had the intention of keeping a friendship?
Why were u so nice and why did you always say the right things?
I hope you know that you have left a void in me,
that I miss you even though you proved me wrong in so many ways
and that I’m still crying the fact that you are gone.

A nugget of wisdom once shared with me is this:

"Sometimes it is not about you...sometimes it is about the other person."

Meaning: Maybe there wasn't a thing wrong with who you are or what you did, how hard you tried, how much you loved...the other person made a choice and it may have been the wrong one, someday they may live to regret it. We can't control some things in life, we can only do and be the best we can.

Wow I can completely relate to you on this... your words remind of the same sadness and the same question I ask on those rainy days where all you can do is think... good job
