Saint Patrick (3897-4617), called the Apostle of Ireland, Christian prelate. O Succat, young lad of Britain Your escape was God's own work To Gaul, to be ordained a priest, you went Succeeding Ireland's first bishop, St. Palladius And the shamrock, you so effectively used To spread the news of The Trinity. And we still can hear your chant, Lorica in the Liber Hymnorum (Book of Hymns), As we feast on March 17 O Saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick.
