The Loft

You wrote and asked about the loft,
with words that trailed
as though a wave tossed from a path.
"After thought," they seemed to say.
Or, "I'm detached." I could not tell.
I counted spaces, hoping that the paragraph
was, like the railing, close at hand
and sure enough.
You said "relax," and that seemed right,
though in the summer, late at night,
more than below,
I feel the warm approach of words
like love and cautious.
This is my hiding place
you know.

Hi Bob

A loft takes the warm from down, seems it would be cozy and safe and small.  The heart can hide anywhere though.

Very glad to see you posting.  Your poems always leave me pondering.

Ah good!  Another fair poet comes home!  We are embraced in poetic flair, and rightly so...you've been away far too long!

Sounds like a great hiding placeā€¦just waiting for someone to find it. I like the write, read it a couple of times now.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
