(another one of the late 80's songs from 'not a songwriter'..lol...mr mewitt--are you out there??   v.1 you call me up to say youre fine but i can read between the lines the hesitation in the air rings loud and clear you call me up just once a year but i can feel the empty tear the vacancy in your voice cant tell a lie *chorus 1 wont you give me one more chance to be the friend that i can be wont you trust me with your inner world i listen to the air tonite thats flowing through the telephone the silence is the word that tells the truth v.2 you called to say that things have changed that somehow time has rearranged but what you mean is not the words you say youve failed to say whats on your mind and i know you think i'm blind but i can see straight through your wall of fear **churus 2 have you forgotten who i am forgotten where the two of us stand forgotten where the barriers would fall i know theres something in your heart it wrestles with the wire tonite i'd like to share it with you if i could *** dont ever forget my name reach for me and i will hold your hand dont ever forget, my friend trust is the key that lets us in -dgvarner 4-2-89 (for toby) ~dgvarner/fallen rain~ |

YAY!!! Ooohhhhhh...I know deep down with all my heart that Toby will never forget you and you will forever be embraced in friendship from across the wires! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is a beautifully touching poem! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
