Marissa.... I remember the day I held you, your beauty. The darkness of your eyes, the softest hair. The tiny fingers, toes, fat little cheeks. The smile on your tiny face...even when.. When I had to tell you goodbye, give you up. I cried when that moment happened, it hurt. I wanted to take you back, but I could not. I wanted to tell you I didn’t want to do it.. Every year, your birthday comes around. February...I can’t remember the day now. Sherri can, she will never forget the day. I love you, she loves you, we all love you. Why? Why did we let you go, give you up? Why didn’t we buckle down and keep you? Why did your family say goodbye to you. Where are we, will you ever know? You have two sisters and a brother now. Your brother is ll, one year older than you. Your sisters are younger, 8 and 4... They don’t know you, know about you. I think of you every year, I can’t forget you. I can’t forget the tears, from all of us.. I also can’t forget the smiles...the happiness.. Of the couple that adopted you...loves you too.. I miss you...Some day I will get to say I’m sorry...  (tears fall down my cheeks) Oh my gosh, this is soooooooo heartbreaking, my heart cries out to Marissa and I pray with all my heart now with the love you have given her that she can go on and she can grow up with loves hope and be surrounded by many who love her and make her happy and comfortable! Barry, I haven't been posting or replying, We have had another death in the family and I am not ready to face this again, But I come here and read, it brings me peace. And I just had to reply to this. It is sad, yes it is, it drew tears, but you know Barry, I don't know what it is, But I feel hope in this also. I feel hope that one day you all will see here again, And I feel peace that you did what you had to do at the time. Those feelings come across very strong to me. This was indeed lovely. Sometimes these are hard to write, but there is a sweet release in writing. Take care . floria Floria |

*sigh* oh gosh...you know the tears are flowing...I know that it was so hard for you and Lou to let your granddaughter be adopted and I know how hard you tried to be able to have her yourself...Oh gosh, Barry...I have heard your tears as you spoke of this and it breaks my heart...I too have hope that one day you will see her again...**big big hugs** to you and Lou... Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |
