To Write? or Remain Silent? |

To write, or remain silent? I ponder more and more... And wonder what new pain, or grief My writing holds in store. For writing makes the feelings real- It has more life than art, For words indeed, are able to- Seduce a person's heart. A coward? Aye, I'm that and more. I readily admit... And wish I had the fortitude, To simply up and quit. To write? Or simply fade away- I only wish I knew... The wisest scribes who ever lived- Have written things they rue. |

Slinger~ 'For writing makes the feelings real- It has more life than art, For words indeed, are able to- Seduce a person's heart.' Such truth in this stanza~ Pen on dear poet~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

I write because it is a need that I have...a desire to fulfil...don't know if I could stop if I wanted to...whatever wants to come out will come out...doesn't necessarily mean that I feel comfortable posting everything I write on this site...but I post most of it...and I know I'm not the best writer around but all we can do is give our best...James |

In my land, a cowboy poet without a pen is the equivalent of a cowboy without a horse!!! Write (ride) on!!! Your talent must never be stiffled...it is a miracle of the muse!!! Hurry up and slap out another one!! Or I'll challenge you to a duel... [This message has been edited by amusemi (02-19-2002 03:11 AM).] |

Ah... it is compellling to write.... I can't say that I have ever halted my pen ... I just use some common sense before I hand it to anyone anymore... I waxed poetic in highschool.... and the boys began to run quickly in the opposite direction when they saw me coming with paper in hand.... I look back and laugh at it all now.... NEVER stop writing... it shouldn't be a question... for us poets, it involves our sanity. Love, Light and Peace Sherry Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. |

anything that I write can and will be held against me in the poetic court of critique??? hmmmmm. . . perhaps. . . but, then again. . . perhaps truth and beauty will reign. . . well done Sir. . . rhymically sound and flowing wonderfully. . . --------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |
