When an amiable heart takes pen in hand
beating inner drums
signifying longer journeys (other paths),
love and souls collide
beneath canopies of magic
where whisper remnants frolic.
When the quill of kindness raps irresistibly on pleasantly surprised pages (stationary blue)
(or any stationary for that matter)
there is passion in such a sound.
Listen now for the soft scratching
of a poet's favorite instrument (which makes its own kind of music)
His ink is often "dipped thought"
A sweetness drawn from where mischievous muses
seek inexhaustible freedom
to abide by their unquenchable whims.
Their whims
fuel for gentle hands painting inspiration colored thoughts.
I can see him (cantyouseehim?)
slave to all mischief
slave to all grave pondering
Man
Passion wrapped
artist's soul
lover's heart.

This one is dedicated to our one and only Sven Pen. Thanks for the inspiration all of your work provides me, John. No one right now is more deserving of this dedication than you..and it only covers the surface. There is so much more..

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.

somehow Jennifer, "Thank you" just doesn't seem enough. . . but, it's all that I can say right now . . .

I'm honored to be an inspiration of yours. . . just as your work provides me with inspiration as well. . .

thank you again. . . it's nice to have friends like you. . .

and, to all of you that replied. . . thank you as well. . . you're all wonderful people. . . and I'm glad to have you in my life. . .
