Mermaid and Merman -inspired by poetic words of Arlene Longson We are pronounced Mermaid and Merman! The skies, the stars and seas are there in sand For God ordained a joining by the sea God's choice mermaid has found a loving man And now they joy in purest ecstasy. Do you take this sweet mermaid for your wife To swim with her through storms and sunny skies? Dance all waves of happiness, storms and strife Forever in her love with perfect highs? I do. Do you accept this man to swim within Forever writing loving poetry The two of you together fin and fin In God and in each other by the sea? I do. Go forth in Love and Truth forevermore Find happiness beyond all pretty dreams And as you swim together by your shore In God you're sewed as One in Spirit seams, No earthly laws will haunt you as you be So love in freedom; defy gravity! Newell darling boy this is Utterly utterly fabulous writing darling heart, I love it. This is so beautiful, the words trickling over the page like water flows over the beach. Absolutely excellent writing, I am awed by this wonder. Thank you, floria. It was written for a dear poetess friend who lives on the sea and sometimes writes poetry with me. We are philosophically very close and share lots of spiritual ideas. Here, mermaid is a metaphor for God's Spirit in woman, loving God's Spirit in man. The marraige is Salvation.
